Campaigns

Know which campaign actually paid off

Minecraft players do not click tracking links; they type a server address. ShardAnalytics attributes first joins to the domain or creator code that brought them in, and reports cost, revenue, and ROI for each campaign.

What Campaigns does for you

Attribute new players to the domain they joined with or the creator code they used, then follow their revenue for as long as they play.

First-join domain attribution

Give each campaign its own subdomain and every player whose first join used it is attributed to that campaign.

Creator codes

Track creator codes used at Tebex checkout and attribute the purchase, and the player, to the right campaign.

Cost, revenue, and ROI

Record campaign cost and compare it against attributed revenue, with ROI defined as (revenue - cost) / cost.

Campaign retention

See whether the players a campaign brought in actually returned, not just how many joined.

Campaign comparison

Compare campaigns side by side on joins, conversion, revenue, and return rate.

Source and domain rollups

Group joins by domain or code to find the channels that consistently produce valuable players.

How you'd use it

Three real situations owners and staff run into, and what campaigns answers.

A YouTube sponsorship

The situation

You paid a creator for a video and want to know whether it was worth the money.

With ShardAnalytics

Assign the campaign a domain and a creator code, then read joins, purchases, retention, and ROI for that campaign in one view.

Vote site traffic

The situation

Several server lists send players, but the totals hide which one is worth paying.

With ShardAnalytics

Domain-level joins and retention show which listing produces players who stay and spend.

A TikTok event

The situation

A short event brought a spike of new players, most of whom may never return.

With ShardAnalytics

The campaign page separates raw joins from returning players and revenue, so a spike is not mistaken for growth.

How it works

Create a campaign

Name it, set the dates, and record the cost so ROI has a denominator.

Add domains and codes

Point a subdomain at the network and share a creator code for store purchases.

Read the results

Follow joins, conversion, purchases, and retention for that campaign over its full window.

Questions

How is ROI calculated?

ROI is (campaign revenue - campaign cost) / campaign cost, expressed as a percentage. ROAS is a multiple and is labelled separately where shown.

What if a player uses a code after joining through a different domain?

Acquisition attribution and purchase attribution are separate models. The campaign page explains which signal applied to each outcome.

Do creator codes work outside Tebex?

Tebex checkout codes are supported today, and custom store webhooks can carry the same information when your backend sends it.
