Connector Version & Updates
We regularly release updates to the ShardAnalytics connector plugin to optimize telemetry payload sizes and add default event hooks.
Learn how to monitor your plugin version and perform updates.
Monitoring Your Plugin Version
Section titled “Monitoring Your Plugin Version”You do not need to log in to your Minecraft server to verify your plugin version. You can check the currently running version of all connected instances directly on the Server Overview page or the Instances & Fleet dashboard.
Performing Updates
Section titled “Performing Updates”Manual Update
Section titled “Manual Update”To update the connector manually:
- Download the latest
.jarbuild from the ShardAnalytics dashboard. - Locate your server’s
plugins/directory. - Delete the old
ShardAnalytics-*.jarfile. - Upload the new
ShardAnalytics-*.jarfile. - Restart the server to load the updated classes. We do not recommend hot-loading plugins as it can cause thread leaks.
Release Update Settings
Section titled “Release Update Settings”Optional release update checks and automatic updates are managed via Remote Configuration. You do not configure these options locally in your server files. Instead, navigate to Server Settings -> Connector Settings in the ShardAnalytics dashboard to manage update behaviors for your instances.
