Verify Data
After installing and configuring the plugin, verify collection in two places: the server console and the dashboard.
1. Check the connector
Section titled “1. Check the connector”Run the status command from the server console:
/shardanalytics statsA healthy connector reports:
- Authentication state
AUTHENTICATED. - API key configured:
Yes. - Server name and ID resolved.
- Collection running and enabled with a small queue.
If authentication failed or the key is missing, see Troubleshooting.
2. Check the dashboard
Section titled “2. Check the dashboard”- Open dashboard.shardanalytics.com.
- Select the organization and the server you installed the connector on.
- Open Command Center and confirm heartbeats, metrics, and player data are arriving.
- Open Players and confirm a player who joined recently appears.
- Open Observability for the server and confirm TPS and MSPT are reporting.
3. Check collection readiness
Section titled “3. Check collection readiness”The Server Settings → Data readiness panel and the guided analytics home both report per-stream coverage and freshness. If a stream is missing or stale, they name it instead of showing a partial number as complete.
| Stream | What it powers |
|---|---|
| Heartbeat | Players online and session tracking |
| Metrics | TPS, MSPT, CPU, memory, and latency charts |
| Events | Gameplay, command, and add-on analytics |
| Payments | Revenue and transaction views (requires a store connection) |
Ingestion timing
Section titled “Ingestion timing”Data is collected asynchronously and batched. Metrics and heartbeats normally appear within a minute; event batches flush on their own interval and can take slightly longer. Concrete latency depends on your network path, server load, and the platform, so no fixed guarantee is stated.
